Wolds Gymnastics Club was proudly represented at our first Adult Gymnastics Competition at our club on Sunday 25th October, with five of our gymnasts taking to the competition floor to showcase their skills, determination and passion for the sport.

The competition provided a fantastic opportunity for our gymnasts to put their training into practice, compete against gymnasts from other clubs and demonstrate their abilities across their respective apparatus. There were some excellent individual performances throughout the day, with several impressive apparatus placings and all-around scores to celebrate.

In the Level 10 category, Amy Connor delivered a strong performance on beam and vault, scoring 9.2 on beam and 9.5 on vault. Amy achieved an all-around score of 29 points across her 3 apparatuses. It was great to see Amy perform the routines she have worked so hard on in training.

At Level 8, Phoebe Coleman achieved an impressive all-around score of 41.7 points, producing some excellent performances across her apparatus. Phoebe secured second place on beam, vault and floor, finishing with scores of 9.3 on beam, 11.0 on vault and 10.5 on floor. These consistent results highlighted her strength across multiple disciplines.

Lucy Roberts also enjoyed a positive competition in the Level 7 category, finishing with an all-around score of 40.6 points. Lucy achieved third place on beam, scoring 7.6, and third place on floor with an impressive score of 11.9. She also recorded strong performances on vault and uneven bars, contributing to her overall result.

In Level 6, Rach Douglas competed across her events, achieving an all-around score of 32.5. Rach secured third place on beam with a score of 9.1, alongside second-place finishes on vault and uneven bars, scoring 12.2 and 11.2. Her performances demonstrated the hard work and dedication she continues to put into her gymnastics on a weekly basis!

Meanwhile, Alfred Richardson competed for the first time in 3 years representing Wolds in the Level 5 MAG category, finishing with an all-around score of 53.3 points. Alfred achieved first place on pommel horse with a score of 9.9 and first place on vault, scoring an impressive 12.8. These standout apparatus results were a fantastic achievement and highlighted his ability to perform under competition conditions.

It was brilliant to see our gymnasts representing Wolds Gymnastics Club and continuing to challenge themselves in competition. Their all-around scores and individual apparatus performances reflect the commitment they bring to their training, and we are proud of the progress they continue to make.

A huge well done to Amy, Rachel, Phoebe, Lucy and Alfred for their efforts and achievements. We look forward to seeing what they accomplish next!
