Summer Clubs 2026 - Frequently Asked Questions

Our Summer Clubs are now live and ready to book!

This summer we have an exciting programme of Waterslide & Games Days, Technique Clinics, and Full Gymnastics Day Camps for children to enjoy.

We can’t wait to get started and make the most of the summer holidays (and hopefully the sunshine too!).

We’ve been receiving a number of similar questions about our Summer Clubs, so we’ve put together this handy FAQ to answer everything in one place.

Should children arrive in their swimming gear for Waterslide Days?

No. Children should arrive wearing suitable sports clothing and trainers for outdoor games. Please pack their swimming costume or shorts and a towel in a separate bag, ready for when it’s time to use the waterslide.

My child starts school this September. Can they still attend?

Yes. Children who are due to start full-time education in September are more than welcome to attend our Summer Clubs.

Should my child bring a packed lunch?

Yes. For both our Waterslide & Games Days and Full Gymnastics Day Camps, children should bring a packed lunch, a few extra snacks, and a refillable drinks bottle to keep them fuelled throughout the day.

Why is the booking process quite detailed?

Our booking form is designed to collect all the important information we need to keep your child safe during their time with us. This includes emergency contact details, medical information, and other essential information, helping us provide the best possible experience for every participant.

My child has sensitive skin. What do you use on the waterslide?

We use Johnson’s Baby Oil on the waterslide, as we have found it to be suitable for most children. If your child has any known allergies or skin sensitivities, please let us know before the session so we can discuss the best option.

We aren’t currently members of Wolds Gymnastics Club. Can we still book?

Absolutely. Our Summer Clubs are open to everyone, whether you’re a current member or completely new to gymnastics. We believe these sessions are a fantastic way to introduce children to the sport. Even if they don’t go on to join our club, inspiring a child to take part in gymnastics or become more active is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Are the Technique Clinics only for advanced gymnasts?

Not at all. Our Technique Clinics are suitable for a range of abilities. Children are split into smaller groups based on their experience and ability level, with at least one coach assigned to each group. This allows us to provide appropriate coaching, individual feedback, and a safe learning environment for everyone.

Do parents need to stay and watch the sessions?

Parents are welcome to stay if they wish. However, we generally encourage children to attend independently where possible, as this helps build confidence and allows them to get the most from the session in a supportive environment.

Still Have a Question?

If there’s anything we haven’t covered, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can email us at harry@woldsgymnasticsclub.co.uk, and we’ll be happy to help.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to our Summer Clubs 2026.
